Repaired or Replaced??

Hey Everyone! I pray that all is well for everyone! I missed talking to you! lol

I drove to Ohio a couple of months ago for my brother’s wedding. About a week and a half before the wedding  I got a flat tire!  Some of the men from my church changed the tire and put the spare on for me. I went to the tire shop to see if they could fix it. The guy at the shop said, “It can’t be fixed, it’s a wonder that it lasted this long!” What did he mean by that?! My car was  just a little over a year old!  The guy rolled the tire over to me and showed me this little rubber piece sticking out of my tire.  I asked him what it was and he said “Looks like somebody tried to plug it.”  I called my father and told him about the tire and he said that my tire had a flat when I was home 4 months ago and he put a plug in it. Why didn’t he just let me get another tire?! Here I am on my hour lunch break, with this ugly YELLOW spare on my car, trying to figure out if I had the money to get an0ther tire! The Lord said, “Some things need to be removed instead of repaired.” As Christians, we discover areas of our lives that are “flat”, areas in our lives that we have given over to sin. Those areas need to be removed not just repaired.  For example: If you’re an alcoholic, you can stop buying alcohol or going to the bar but that is just a temporary repair you need to let God remove that bondage and replace it with a thirst for Him! So many times we stop doing things, but do we really seek God for deliverance?? That plug in my tire stopped the air from leaking out but my tire was still damaged and eventually  the air leaked again. We find ourselves in the same situations over and over because we need to let God remove those things from our lives, we need true deliverance.  Because I didn’t remove and replace the damage tire when I first noticed that there was a problem, I ended up exposed (the yellow spare was a clear indicator that something was wrong with my tire), I was frustrated (couldn’t believe my tire was flat AGAIN), and it ended up costing me more!  Also,  the people around me had to deal with my issue as well because I couldn’t change the tire on my own. Let’s make an effort to let God handle our issues so we don’t end up exposed, frustrated, paying more than we should , and becoming a burden to those around us.  Give your issues and struggles to Jesus! You can’t handle them on your own! All you can do is try to plug and patch them but He can remove them and replace them with liberty!

luv ya 4 real
